Yesterday I did a 20 kilometre hike through Wilsons Promontory. It was exhausting but very beautiful and I had my first ocean swim of the season.
(Today my legs are trying to recover.)

Yesterday I enrolled in French lessons and I am so excited about starting classes next week. Secretly it is because I know that once I learn how to speak French, I will grow up to look just like this...
We're back! I have had the most amazing two weeks in Japan, it is a fantastic place that I hope to visit many more times in the future. We did so much in two weeks however I can't help but feel that we didn't even scratch the surface. Here are some random photos taken in both Tokyo and Kyoto...
I still have to post photos of the wedding we went to, it was amazing. Set in a Shinto shrine the whole bridal party wore kimono, there were three outfit changes and a sixteen course meal! Of course I managed to forget my camera on that day. This was partly due to the fact that ten minutes before we were ready to leave Neil realised he only packed one shoe, so we had to drop everything and do a mad dash around the burbs of Tokyo looking for a shoe shop. I'm sure I will be able to pinch some photos off someone else.
Now it is back to the real world! Thankyou for all the comments on the last couple of posts, I'm sorry I couldn't reply to each one but I have enjoyed reading them very much. Also thankyou to anyone who bought something from my shop while I was away, I'm slowly getting all the orders sorted and packed so you should see yours very soon!
Yesterday, while in Shinjuku I found the seven floor high craft store called Okadaya. It is actually over two buildings, one building is seven floors and the other five floors! Oh my goodness I would live in Japan just for this store... it is cute material, trimmings, cloth covered buttons, craft book heaven! Here is a little photo of my loot...
I can't wait to start a-stitching when I get home... not that I want to go home (just yet!).
We are in Tokyo!
It is definitely one of the most amazing places I have ever been to. We have five more days in Tokyo then we will head off to Kyoto. Next Monday we are attending a friend's wedding which should be beautiful so hopefully I will be able to post some photos. Today we are off to Shinjuku, I've heard rumours of an amazing seven floor high craft store which I have decided I must find! Oh, one more thing... the food is so good...
We just had a tiny two day break in the countryside. It was lovely, we did nothing but sit by the fire and look out at the cold wintery weather and the cows! Here are a couple of pictures...
