Just a quick note to let you know the Jane is now available as a print.
Thank you!

I have been picture making! This here is a drawing loosely based on the character of Jane Eyre... that could possibly be grumpy Mr Rochester sitting on her head? I have decided to put her in the shop which is where she can be found right now.
She is completed on some lovely heavy-weight watercolour paper and is a mixture of pen, ink and paper-cutting.

I finally got some gocco prints that I'm happy (enough) with. I printed them on long pieces of paper so I'm going to have fun colouring and decorating them. I actually quite like the scratchy, haphazardness of the print (although I did end up cheating a bit and I printed them by hand using the traditional screen printing method).
Also, while I'm here I really wanted to say thank you to Holly over at Decor8 for including my 2011 Calendar in her excellent calendar round up. Thank you, thank you!
Calendars and tote bags are go!
This year the calendars are made up of 6 double sided cards, all are contained in a heavy duty envelope so you will have somewhere safe to keep the future months. As I mentioned yesterday the tote bags are cotton canvas and come packaged up rather nicely I do think, you can see exactly what I mean in the picture just below.
All can be found right here: myfolklover.etsy.com
Also, I recently found hiding away, a small pile of the gift wrap I made last year with Frankie magazine, so all orders between now and Christmas will receive a free sheet (or until I run out)...
Little update: I ran out of gift paper!
Thanks!
I made a tote bag! I picked them up on friday and I'm so happy with them, in fact I've been sporting one around all weekend. They are made of cotton canvas and are perfect for lots of things including the odd high sea adventure. They are soon to be in the shop, along side my calendar (tomorrow... which is tuesday). Yikes it's shop week.
My calendars have arrived from the printer! I will spend the next few days packaging them up as this year I am going to put them in a heavy duty, lovely looking envelope. That way if you don't want to have them all out at once there is somewhere safe to keep the future months.
(If all goes to plan they should be available in the shop Tuesday 12 October. Thank you!)
I have been busy... busy designing my 2011 calendar. It is a similar idea to the one I created for 2010 but a little bit nicer I think. There are new pictures! And it's square! Oh special. Here are a few little sneak peeks, digital style. As soon as I have it back from the printers real life photos will be taken and into my shop it will go...
Happy weekend to you.
Don't forget I'm having a print sale that starts tomorrow. For two days only all my prints are half price (except limited editions)... yep half price! So save up some pennies and come visit me on Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th May.
Hope to see you there!
I have just added two new limited edition prints to my store. You can find them right here...
Thank you!
A new series of prints are now available in the shop! Please hop on over if you would like to take a look:
Thank you!
I am planning a small print update for Monday 29th March. I will be adding 8 new prints to the My Folk Lover store and these ones are super deluxe! They are limited edition, and are printed on a heavier fine art paper to my normal prints (308 gsm to be exact). I'm very happy with them, the inky blacks look quite special... oh umm... if I do say so myself.
If you're interested please pop on over to my store next Monday.
Thank you.
I almost forgot to mention, I'm only going to be selling my calendars until the end of January. So after Sunday they will disappear, if you are interested in nabbing one please hop over here:
Also, I have been drawing while also trying to teach myself how to use my camera. Therefore work in progress shots are go. These pieces are approximately 40cm x 60cm so are impossible to scan, hence CAMERA CLASS 101...

Hello! I've been a little missing in blog-land action lately. All I have been doing is making drawings for people, which is fun of course but I'm a little tired and I have a blister on my thumb. I thought I'd pop in and tell you of another great thing happening... the No Vacancy Christmas Market!
It runs from 4th - 6th December in QV Square in the CBD, Ev and I are going to be sharing a stall together and it should be lots of fun. I will have my calendar, giftwrap, cards and framed prints available so if you are interested come and say hello to us. Click on the link here to get all the exact details:

p.s. That's Max above, he was part of my Tall Stories and Papercuts show. Hope you're having a lovely weekend.
The calendars have returned from the printers and I'm so happy with them! They look very professional. There are 13 A5 (approx. 6" x 8") sheets in total, including the cover sheet, printed on a lovely smooth heavy weight card stock.
They are currently stocked in the shop so please take a look if you are interested:
I have just finished designing a calendar for 2010!
Each calendar page will include one of my images, each will be A5 in size (that's approx. 6" x 8") and printed on durable heavyweight card stock.
I can't wait to get them back from the printers and see what they look like. I will post more pictures when I do and hopefully they will be stocked in the shop by the end of the week.
