I am doing major battle with the art monster at the moment. Sometimes art can be such a pleasant skip amongst the daisies and at other times it feels like an exhausting fight with a huge shape-shifting beast. There you go, it probably explains why I haven't got one finished picture to show for 2009 and it is already March! I think I'm getting there though... very slowly, surrounded by piles of discarded paper and millions of tiny lines.
Anyway, here is the work of Sachiko Kanaizumi which I found recently and have fallen head over heels for...
Utterly fabulous. A great find; very inspiring. And a terrific blog to boot!
Thanks and cheers,
Liza

I totally understand what you mean by "battling with the art monster." there's no end to the battle. you just keep drawing and drawing to get it right.
(apparently I'm going through the same phase too.)

Trying to find out more about this elusive artist I stumbled upon your blog. I love your art!
Kanaizumi's art is so fun and has a bit of an evil twist to it. Have you found out more about her since this post? I find it difficult to locate her.
