Earlier in the week I had a little plan to start a little project. I decided that, for fun and practice, I would like to draw one of my characters every day. I would like to post them daily onto a blog and look at them over time as a sort of visual face diary. Then I can see how they change depending on things such as the weather, moodiness, if they got a good nights sleep, what happens to be growing out of their head at the time... you know, that kind of thing.
As it took me two days to complete the first one, I decided I wouldn't be so strict on myself and instead just draw as many faces as possible, with the hope of getting at least ten done in a month. So here is the first three, in various stages of completion...
In other lovely news, today I was featured over at the Creature Comforts blog because, well, Melissa loves me! That was very nice... thank you Melissa.
Beautiful work dear (as always!)

I also saw one of your prints pop up at the very end of the ABC's Sunday Arts show yesterday.

Lovely. I like that sweet Milly Molly Mandy-style bob and red ribbon.

Well done and very beautiful. I love the character you have created. The second image is my favorite. I love the hair and the expression is wonderful. Kind of a quirky boredom that makes me think of old ladies coming around and dressing her up. She doesn't seem to like it, but doesn't care enough to stop it. Very cute.

Hello,
My name is Bianca. I'm just turned 15, and for a while now, I have been inspired by your work. I love coming onto your blog every so often to find new wonders. How do you do your illustrations (as in, what do you use to construct your little works of art)? I would love to know.
Thank you.
