A little while ago I was wandering through the lane-ways in the city and I came across an exhibition in Centre Place of beautiful drypoint etchings by an artist called Dominique Mitchelson. I scribbled her name down intending to go home and start stalking her on the old interwebs, as you do these days, only to find nothing! This woman, who makes very beautiful prints, is a renegade with no internet presence... fancy that.
Luckily, she recently popped up on the wonderful new blog Craft City Melbourne, which led me to the Outre Gallery website, and finally here are some pictures for show and tell...
WOW. those are unbelievable. the second one, The Preacher, certainly has my attention. I love the movement and aggression. Thank you so much for posting these!

hmm.. do you know what these remind me of? the cats on the inside of the Smashing Pumpkins Mellon Collie artwork- especially the wolf baring its teeth, and the slightly collage-y feel to them
