This morning I was sitting at my desk with paper in front of me, paint brushes resting in an old cup, watercolours to the side and wearing an old cardigan. I needed to search for an image on the computer and I came across this...
Little me, looking and doing exactly as I am today!
Today was such a lovely sunny day, I decided to go on an adventure down the back of the garden. What I found was an army of rabbits and snails looking longingly at and ready to pounce on my new little seedlings. In fact the whole situation looked a little bit like this...

Well ok, not that many rabbits. I managed to fend them all off and my seedlings are continuing to grow happily and peacefully. I'm using a weed mat this year and it is working so well, I don't need to use so much water which means I can grow all my vegies mostly on rain water. I wonder if they taste better with rain water... probably I suppose. Anyway, here are some sunny growing pictures...
p.s. I keep meaning to mention this... over here at the wonderful blog of Victoria E is an interview with one of my all time most favourite artists, Evan B Harris. If you're interested it really is a great read, you can also see more of his work at his flickr account.
These are my new magic lights that I have strung all around the stove. They are trying to make me feel a little more welcome in the kitchen... don't get me wrong, I love to cook, it's just not something I think about doing very often. For someone who reads a lot of cookbooks though, I think I should be more inspired! I do believe these beautiful candy coloured pieces of plastic are going to make all the difference...
In other news, I have been meaning to do this for quite a while now and after getting some very nice scans, I am able to list a new little print set in my store. When I say little, I mean tiny! These four prints are from my 'Curious Adventures on the High Seas' series and each of them measures just over 2" x 2.5"...
They are right over here...
