Aren't these mending patches lovely? I have just discovered Pinterest and am finding lots of nice things. Yes, part of my brain says no, not another virtual world distraction but the other part of my brain is already addicted. Yay!
These patches are made by Karen Barbé and you can see her beautiful blog at blog.karenbarbe.com
Just a little note to say that I will be closing my shop at the end of the week and it will stay closed for the three weeks I am in Japan. If you would like something sent before I leave please come and visit me sooner rather than later and I will make sure it is packed and posted and on its way.
I've been making pots of almond oil lip balm. It is a properly yummy recipe that comes from a very good book called Organic Body Care Recipes by Stephanie Tourles. I recommend it, the products are not tricky to make and you can often eat them too.
Hello! I have been playing with sparkly things... it seems since my last attempt at embroidery I have caught the bug. There is a lot of trial and error happening right now but hopefully there'll be more to show soon (I will remember to take a picture of the finished piece this time!).
I am also counting the sleeps until I hop on a plane with my lovely fellow for a three week adventure in Tokyo. Tokyo! One of my favourite places on the planet.
And... tonight I attended the launch of Owl Know How, Cat Rabbit and Isobel Knowles' beautiful book. For the last few months I have shared my studio with Cornelia Rabbit, many owls and a growing Cloud Town, so it's wonderful to see it come together as a real life book. You can get yourself a signed copy right here.
Oh yes one more thing, do you use Instagram? If so you can find me at catherine_campbell. I've been using Instagram as a camera for so long but have only just realised how much fun it is when you turn the private setting off and make friends with people. (Thank you Captain Obvious.)
