I have been busy giving my blog and website a bit of a face lift for the new year. You have probably noticed the blog already as it happened a little while ago, but if you have a spare moment please pop over here and take a look at my website:
Even though the portfolio section is still only half full I would appreciate any feedback. Thankyou!

I'm liking the new site. It's clean and simple, which I like a lot. It means that the total focus is on your work.
I can sympathise with you on this one too as I am also currently putting together a portfolio site and there are some difficult design issues to consider, let alone the functionality. I think you have got it right here though, definitely.

your website is just so lovely and perfect! I think it literally might be my favorite artist website I have seen because it is clean and simple..and Im liking the white on white. I think you did a very nice job!

Looking very lovely! I love the simplicity of it all!
The web/interactive designer in me (don't hate her!) says:
"hmm, maybe the portfolio shouldn't open in a new window, I got a little confused as to how to get back to the home page because I didn't realise I was in a new tab ... I reckon it'd be better to keep your global nav on all pages, and the 'click to view artwork' text underneath it, or under ur name on the left".
and maybe the little x's can be coloured so it's more obvious to click em?
You're not going to want to have coffee anymore with me are you? ;)

I went to look at your website yesterday and it wasnt working, now I know why. I love the new front page...cause thats the original I have :-)
I didn't know how to get back to the home page from the portfolio either (but that might be cause your still working on that section)
I really like how you've organised your work into years and series. Shows how your work has developed.

i love it i love it i love it
but i agree with what someone up there said, i love the simplicity of the X's, and even though it says click to view, maybe something to make it a bit more obvious..
but i figured it out eventually.

Hi Catherine!
Your site is just lovely. Well done! The only thing I noticed as a possible issue (I think it was mentioned above too), is that there is no navigation button back to your homepage from your portfolio. Other than that everything is fabulous!
All the best to you!

Lovely! It complements your illustrations just perfectly.
I only have one beef - the navigation on your portfolio is a little bit hard because the "x" is so small. I love sites that have "Next" written out and hyperlinked because it's a bigger target for me to point at (thanks, RSI ravaged wrist!)

I love the light fresh, yet deep feeling of your work, and this banner is wonderful! Looks like the ship might actually break throught the screen. Your website is beautiful as well!! Wonderfulness all around!

beautiful, There are so many delicate details and paint marks in your work the more I look the more I notice.
Makes my day!

Lovely site.
I didn't get a new window popping up for the portfolio so navigating wasn't an issue for me!
